Challenge
The average Canadian takes in too much sodium and sugary drinks which can impact health negatively. The Dietitians of Canada needed to raise awareness about lowering intake of sodium and sugary drinks to all age groups (teens, adults, parents and seniors).
Solution
A national campaign was created to raise awareness about sodium and sugary drinks. Posters and fact sheet templates with interchangeable information were created using a new technology called "Fact Sheet Generator", which allowed practitioners to customize information on a page and print it for their patients. Four versions of the fact sheets were created, appealing to each age group through use of imagery and typography. Red was used as the primary colour palette for Sodium Sense and blue for Sugary Drink Sense.
Result
"I worked with Estella over several months on a series of nutrition education fact sheets on sodium and sugary drink reduction for the Dietitians of Canada. Estella created the graphic concepts, original photographic artwork and layout for the fact sheet template. Her creativity and attention to detail resulted in a very unique, dynamic presentation that is impactful and appealing to the various intended audiences. She is keen to tackle new challenges - in this case she worked with a new concept in technology called the Factsheet Generator for developing standardized health promotion materials. She was able to provide solutions for the fact sheet template that made full use of the new technology while still being creative and meeting the client’s needs. I’d highly recommend her talent for any creative work."
