Challenge

Kwantlen Polytechnic University (formerly Kwantlen University College) wanted to gain more international students through educational trade fairs abroad. They needed a booklet to give away to potential students that would inspire them attend KPU over the other post-secondary institutions locally and internationally.

Solution

We created a consistent theme throughout the book, "A Place to...". This helped potential students envision what life is like at KPU and Vancouver. Being a newcomer to a country and culture, we didn't just emphasize academics, but a place to grow personally and gain new relationships. Experiences outside the classroom are just as important as in the classroom, making potential students feel at ease about their entire stay.

Result

KPU's international students enrolment increased and this booklet was awarded a Canadian Council for Advancement of Education award.
